FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When is the best season for our school to run the program?
Created By Kids Art Fundraisers run twice per year, in the Fall and in the Spring.
Many schools run our program in both seasons to double their fundraising revenue! A Fall campaign taps into peak holiday gift-buying for Christmas, while a Spring campaign is perfect for Mother's Day, Father's Day, and end-of-year celebrations.
If you are starting with just one season, use this quick guide to find your best fit:
Choose Fall if...
- You want to tap into the high-spending holiday shopping season (Fall campaigns generally raise the most funds).
- Your main school events or big galas happen in the Spring.
- Your school is looking for a fresh, engaging activity to kick off the new school year.
Choose Spring if...
- Your Fall calendar is already packed with other major school fundraisers.
- You are booking late in the Fall term (after October) and need a strong second-semester fundraiser.
Whether you choose Fall, Spring, or decide to double your impact by running both, we make set-up effortless for your teachers and volunteers!
Are there any upfront fees, admin fees, shipping fees, materials fees, credit card fees, or per-student fees?
It is our belief that schools should never lose money on a fundraiser – it is a privilege for a fundraising provider to partner with your school and should be treated as such.
You have no risk, and we pay for all materials that we send your way. In addition, you also pay no shipping!
No admin fees, no credit card fees, etc. So every single order generates profit for your school.
Which launch date do you recommend for our school?
While we know the start of the term is already busy, launching earlier actually saves stress later by ensuring your products arrive with plenty of cushion before major milestones like Mother's Day, Father's Day, winter break, or end-of-term celebrations. It also builds in a safety buffer against unforeseen delays like severe weather or peak season shipping delays.
Worried about start-of-term stress? You don’t need to rush to have everything done on day one. We supply ready-to-go art paper before your launch date and low-prep project guides, giving your teachers a flexible 2-week window to run the activity.
Rest assured, no matter which launch date works best for your schedule, our team will always work hard to get your order delivered as quickly as possible.
How much profit do we make?
Because this is a no-fee fundraiser, you are guaranteed to start profiting on order #1, and every order thereafter!
Schools in BC and Alberta: 30% of each order
Schools in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia 25% of each order
Schools in Newfoundland, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut: 20% of each order
What is our fundraising coordinator responsible for?
- Registering your school's start date
- Distributing the artwork sheets and teacher instructions to each division
- Collecting the orders from each division then shipping back to us
- Delivering finished product to each division!
Do we have to enter student information into a database? Because that is not fun!
No! We take care of all data entry at our end. We have people who actually like it :)
Can this be integrated into the existing art curriculum?
Yes! If teachers want to use the provided sheets to do something already in the art curriculum, they are welcome to do so.
What type of artwork can be made?
Any type! It is often good to have teachers suggest a theme so students do not get creative block.
What type of artwork cannot be made?
Teachers will be instructed to avoid exposed glue and glitter - pretty much anything else goes! (Glue can actually be used, just not exposed glue)
Do students get their original artwork back?
Yes! Original artwork is returned with product orders.
What happens if participation is lower than expected?
We continuously refine our programs based on school feedback, so low participation is very rare! However, if it does happen, please don’t worry—there are no penalties & no hidden fees. There is absolutely no financial risk to your school and we will still happily fulfill any orders placed by the families who did participate.
How are Artwork & products transported?
- BC Tri-Cities Schools: A friendly member of our team will personally handle the pickup of the artwork and the delivery of your final products.
- Rest of BC & Canada: We use trusted courier services for fast, reliable transit.
No matter where you are located, we will always coordinate the pickup and drop-off dates with your fundraising coordinator so your school can plan ahead!
